I consider Silvasomnia to be the best piece of music I have ever made, or at least the truest. Spanning two long tracks and one short track, and comprising the widest range of instruments I've ever used on one album, it was a raw and emotional album to which I dedicated every free hour of my time for over 4 months. It reflects a period of loneliness and ennui I was feeling at the time and it helped me work through it. It was also the first album to feature a real sitar (Temple in the Woods used a guitar digitally altered to sound like a sitar), and the only album to feature a bamboo flute.

Silvasomnia is Latin for "dreams of the forest" or "forest dreams".
