The Longest Night

My first EP in major stores such as iTunes and Spotify was The Longest Night, although EP is a bit of a misnomer as it is a single 24-minute track. It depicts the course of a lonely and introspective night, beginning with some soothing guitar themes representing sleep and gradually moving through dreams and nightmares, and emerging victorious out the other side with a bright and happy sunrise.

This was my first attempt at a long-form instrumental piece, having recently discovered Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells and Amarok and being inspired to accomplish something similar. While the pacing is uneven and I had yet to master the art of mixing and mastering, it's still a nostalgic look back at a piece that really made me the musician I am today.
